In 2022 we flew our DP out to Chicago to provide highlight coverage of Firstup’s debut ‘Employee Engagement Summit’.

While there, he captured highlights across the 3 day event including keynotes, breakouts and networking, spanning multiple venues throughout Chicago.  The client requested 3 highlight videos (one from each day) to be post produced, revised and delivered same-day so the attendees could watch the previous day’s recap when they arrived the next morning on the big screen. The videos were also shared across their social media platforms post-event.

In the pre-production stage of this project, we were informed that the event was to be filmed and relayed live by a US capture team, but that the client had nothing yet in place to use this content post-event. We offered our post-production services, and the client agreed that an ‘on demand library’ would be beneficial to attendees to watch after the event – evergreen content.

The event coordinator liaised with the capture team and provided us with the video files at the end of each day for storage and backup. Upon arriving back in the UK, we began work on the post-production, embedding full presentation decks into the 35+ hours of content captured over 3 days. We outsourced audio mastering and closed captioning and provided the client with 3 opportunities for revision, liaising with the client and event coordinator every step of the way.
